Purchased an iPad 2. Compared it to the screen of an iPad 3 and saw how crisp the text was on the iPad 3. Returned the iPad 2 for the iPad 3, and have been happy ever since. I do miss the fact that the iPad 2 charges faster, and doesn't get warm like the iPad 3. The screen clarity of the iPad 3 has made up the difference.

I seen them side by side at best buy today, and I gotta say the 3 is sharper. The 2 looks really good as well but the 3 just pops. Kind of like all the hd Tvs in my house the latest one just has slightly better PQ, but they all look awesome. I'm still using my original iPad and haven't decided yet on an upgrade yet, between the 2 and 3 the screen won't be my deciding factor though. I'll wait. Bit longer and see if this mini iPad materializes.

The price difference is insignificant - other than for some specific service use, I don't understand why somebody would buy a 2 after the new one came out.

$320 for a refurbished iPad 2 (with 1 year Apple warrant so basically like new)

vs

$500 for new iPad

isnt an insignificant difference in price ;)
