so....here's an insecure question

if a 3g iphone comes out, i decide i can't live without it, and can't flip the old one to a parent, how much might i be able to get reselling? (lets assume that they're selling 16gb at $400 with 3g and something else, maybe gps)

yeah, this is a pretty dumb question (i know that and i love my iphone) but humor me

It would be really difficult to determine. Using eBay as an example, it would depend on the condition of the phone, how attractive the new models are, and the market saturation of users like you who decide to dump their old iPhone on ebay.

I have pondered this myself, and have convinced myself that i can fetch about 150 dollars on ebay for my 8gb... if I decide to sell when the 3g comes out
