So how does parallax home screen work?

I remember reading about this feature but I am not sure how it is supposed to work. I enabled dynamic background for my homescreen but it only changes shape. there is no parallax effect. I am on iPhone 4S.

Move your phone around and the wallpaper moves. It works best with one of the space-type wallpapers that come with iOS 7.

thanks that helped. i chose the "bubble" ones, the classic bg works with parallax
