That is a worry. The whole reason why I went with Ceramic for the S3 and now Space Black for the S4 was to avoid scratches. Which watch band came with the watch?

If it was the Space black Milanese loop, the DLC coating on that specific band can scratch the watch, if it comes in contact with it.

It is the Milanese Loop however I have been particularly careful with the watch / strap to sure it doesn’t do what I’ve read.

I may return it today

Any pics?

Not at the mo. In the grand scheme of things we’re talking small-fry. Only noticeable in certain light. But I paid £849 and I think after 14 days an £849 watch shouldn’t scratch that easily

I may just take out Apple Care and get it replaced down the line

To be honest I didn't think much of the DLC coating... I had a Series 2 or 3 SBSS (can't remember) and it was faulty with a speaker issue. I decided to test the coating a little before returning and wasn't impressed. Obviously I could have had one with sub-par coating, but still.

I had the Space Black Series 2 before the Ceramic 3 and it was immaculate when I sold it. I am not heavy testing a watches durability part from the occasional accidental bashing on a door.
I might take apple care out for my SBSS when it arrives.
