What is it about the radio app you like? I never opened it because I don't want to pay a subscription to Apple Music (and I like owning my songs--got over 3K currently). Is it some unique UI like the old Podcasts app that I might be missing out on? Is it any different on the ATV 2 vs the new ones?
It is an APP that gives access to FREE radio. No subscription to Apple Music is necessary. If a radio station has web access, then you should be able to find the station via the APP. Heck, Apple Music subscription services weren't even around yet when this APP was developed and released. It's really simple and easy to use.

Ok then that's another one to play with later. I just incorrectly assumed it was the old version of Apple Music radio. (like 'Radio' on Apple Watch).

So far I've found that CrunchyRoll, Apple TV purchases (iTunes TV shows/movies) and Netflix work fine. No errors, no issues at all.

All I ever used my ATV 4K for was Apple TV stuff only. I did use Netflix until they wanted to force me to update to the latest tvOS to keep using it. That's another thing I don't miss about the 'new' ones.

Still seeing 'Activation:Failed' in Settings, but it doesn't seem to break anything. Guess that will have to remain a mystery. I can still watch and buy new content on Apple TV, so it has nothing to do with my Apple ID.

The UI is downright amazing. I'd hazard a guess the framerate is less 'glitchy' than modern ATVs. It is so fluid and easy on my eyes. I wish I bought this one before losing the $$ on the 'modern' ones. In fact, I wish the MegaReplay had more ATV2's so every TV in my home could have one.
