And the only time I ever came close to 2 GB's of data was when I was tethering my iphone to my computer(1.6 Gb's).

other than that....the most data I ever used was no more than 600 Mb's.

this from a year of iphone use.

I averaged 364 mb's a month.

so....I'm not as mad as I was about nothing having unlimited data....seeing that I sold my iphone and canceled my unlimited data last month...

To be honesty, I could probably get away with the 200mb plan but I am still going to keep unlimited.

-edit-
didn't realize my number was there!

It got "high" in May because I tried out MyWi. :D
I don't plan on JB iPhone 4 soo....

I don't really use that much data.

I use WunderRadio and download an average of 800mb a month. Other than radio, i don't use much date and i don't tether either.

As more streaming apps like Netflix come out, more people will start to exceed their traditional usage.

Can you remove the pic? My cell number is there  my fault.

And to answer your question- I am pretty much always near Wifi.

I've used Pandora in the past a few times, never to any extreme.

This past month is my highest useage ever....375MB.

Guess I'd better get out there and do a better job at consuming data. ;)

I am really curious as to how you use your iphone...I want the 200mb to save the $10/month, but i'll pay it if it will really inhibit my usage.

I am always near WiFi...home, work, school, optimum wifi..
Rarely ever use 3G

Before using MyWi I was using between 1.8GB - 2.5GB and now that Im using MyWi I use between 2.8GB - 6.6GB needless to say Im keeping my unlimited data!

Cant use internet at work so Im forced to use my iPhone!

I agree. I'm in the same predicament. I use my phone a lot @ work since I can't surf the internet on work computers.

Even though my usage is well under 2GB, I'm still keeping the unlimited plan for as long as we can. I'm not worried about the extra 5 bucks...I figure it's good insurance to have against data overages.

I'm keeping my unlimited plan but i wouldn't worry about it if I couldn't. I do most of my iPhone web surfing from bed in which case i would be on my wifi network anyway.

I'm hoping there will be an easy way to trick the phone into allowing tethering even though we are on older unlimited plans. that way I won't need a "new and improved" plan.

I just checked mine and im going to refrain from posting the graph, but mines been 1.7gb ,1.8gb, 2gb, 2gb, 1.9 and currently at 1.442 with billing cycle ending on the 17th. according to the graph, ive never broke 2gb but im too close to take a chance of dropping my unlimited. is att just rounding off the usage in the graphs? i cant see me perfectly hitting these numbers. wonder if theyll be rounding off numbers when it comes to billing customers who go over 2gb??

I use my iPhone for personal and business. I thought I was gonna bump against the 2GB data limit. Looking at my usage, I found that I'm using anywhere from 200MB to 450MB.

How the heck does one get to over 2GB, or 5GB, or XXGB?
Streaming audio and video?
What am I missing out on?

Maybe you won't go over with your current iPhone, but with the iPhone 4 and the new apps you will. The only way you won't is if you always have Wifi available. I have many situations where I am waiting at an appointment and that office does not share their Wifi, so I am forced to use the 3G network. With the new Netflix app coming soon, I will be using lots of data while I wait.

I don't like data limits and can't see giving up an unlimited plan if I don't have to yet.
