I just saw this on Gizmodo / newegg and Im tempted: http://www.gamerhotline.com/fantom-greendrive-pro-2tb-usb-2-0-esata-external-hard-drive-119-99/ Are they reliable or should I just suck it up and go with WD or seagate or wait for a lower price?

I have a Fantom 500 gb quite frankly I cannot recommend it for you. It just plain sucks. Less than 6 months into the purchase the drive started locking up on me. I cannot watch or listen to any media I saved on it. It always locks up and the only way to fix it is to cycle power. I once waited as long as 2 hours but the light on the drive turns red and stays red until I cycle power. The worse is when you are copying over a really big project and the damn thing locks up at 99% completion. This is a 6 month old drive. On the other hand, the acomdata 250 gb I have that's well over 2 years old runs smooth and never locks up. Take my advice and pay $50 more for a reputable drive and save yourself the headache. I personally recommend getting the 1 TB version of WD My Passport. I just got it a couple days ago and its great. It's on sale right now for $149.99 It's 1 TB less but I'd take that over not having to hassle with power adapters any day. Just my two cents...
Newegg has it for 119 after a $20 mail in rebate... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-_-22207017-L1C&AID=10446076&PID=3300033&SID=
