If its different then the build number on the file will be something other than 7A341. There will not be two builds with the same number that differ (...gah flashbacks to 10.0 GM builds!!! DEBUG CODE!!)

And in the title it says: IF i installed, which points to you not doing it yet.

Well, we do know for sure that 7a341 is the final release. It's a fact. Apple has posted the 3G S firmware 3.0 on their site, and it has the build number 7a341.

Really, well last year the 3G shipped with 2.0 5A345, but the version that showed up on the servers on 2.0 launch day was 5A347.

Not saying it'll happen again, but it DID happen.
