I just bought a used Nexus 6 on ebay.de for 180 euro. That is the second phone I've bought in since Christmas I really wish I hadn't learned to flash ROM's and customize because I never used to care much about my phone. :(

I guess in the end I'll sell the Nexus 5 for $80 to $100 and only have $100ish into the new-to-me phone which isn't bad but....I need to regain some self control

    That's how it begins, lol.

Don't worry, in a few years you'll be over flashing ROMs.

I dunno I've been using Linux for 10 years there is less effort in flashing a ROM than there is editing my resolv.conf file.:D

it's just fastboot flash recovery ....
    adb sideload rom
    adb sideload gapps

You are in deep trouble then :D
You are going to be kept very busy messing around with your Nexus 6, it's still a powerful beast of a phone, endlessly possibility with its hardware.

I have my old gs4 on 6.0.1 cyanogenmod, twrp 3.0 recovery makes it super easy, all done right there on the phone, touch based recovery it is beautiful

Same deal on an old hp touchpad I let my toddler watch videos on. The thing has friggin marshmallow and it shipped with webos :p

I'd rather have oem updates, but the roms keep the support coming. Don't tell me I tinker too much either, because it is really quite streamlined :p learning is the hardest part, then it is easy peasy

My Transformer TF300t has Marshmallow on it thanks to KatKiss and it never really got an update after Jelly Bean the fun part is it's faster on Marshmallow than Jelly bean. That 2n1 and my one mini is what got me started on ROM's since both are "faster" than a G4 and those are still plenty useable.

Oh definitely! Android almost always improves in performance with updates. The touchpad started with gingerbread, it has been a riot (and great learning for me) seeing it go from 2.x to 6.x That nexus 6 will last until it literally falls apart because the community sure won't let it die post google

Nexus phones never die! I heard that a Marshmallow ROM was cobbled together for the Galaxy Nexus a while back!

Your phone addiction is safer than drugs, alcohol, casinos, and sex. Don't worry about it.

I'm getting back into the habit of it too.

Its here I'm typing this post from it. I argued for years that big phones were stupid well I guess I'm stupid. It is really nice having this 6" AMOLED screen. The bad part is I don't have the sim required mine is too big so I'll need to visit O2 next week.

I'll leave Cyanogenmod on it for a bit then probably try some other ROMs

Lol .. I'm doing a reverse. Spent so much time with phablets over last few years I've decided to give the SE a go ... Not getting rid of my phablets though.

Yeah, I'm constantly fighting myself going back and forth between a phablet and smaller phone. So far the edge has been a nice compromise, smaller than the average phablet but still have a 5.5" screen.

So it looks like the combination of CM13/Franco/Pico didn't improve Geekbench like it has on the N5 their both scoring the same which seems right because they both feel the same speed
