Around November they'll be selling them, they only sell on contract phones for now (except for t-mo).

These unlocked models will be much harder to get then the pre-release models that are offered now! You will be fighting with the big boys - the resellers and their associates in line. Apple store associates know them personally and call them by their first names! "Hi Carl, Kevin!" LOL!

Will there be Verizon full price iPhone 6 at launch day at Apple Store? In the previous case
There're several posts said that will be 1 month later

The Verizon full price unlocked model is only useful if you are using Verizon in the US and trying to travel around the world at the same time. If you are using AT&T or T-Mobile and trying to buy unlocked model, you should just get the Carrier Free T-Mobile phone as most of the world is using GSM technology and that phone is unlocked right now (provided you purchase it from Apple).

That said, Apple will probably offer the contract free Verizon later on in the day.

Last time around they wouldn't let people buy the Verizon one at all unless they had a Verizon account even full price. So yes you might have to wait a while to get that one unless you have a Verizon account. It could vary by store though, some people here said their Apple stores let them buy the Verizon model without contract on release day last year.

I just spoke with: Just Ask Apple. Since I have AppleCare, I had that phone number.
I asked the question can I buy an unlocked iPhone from you now? The rep said that we are only showing the four models that are tied to carriers right now but you will be able to buy an iPhone "down the road just a bit".
The burning question: Will there be one unlocked model? that is when I work with Verizon or AT&T? His reply was yes there would be only one model of unlocked iPhone and it would work with any carrier.
I'm sure a lot of you folks already know the above information but I thought I would pass it on since it was less than 10 minutes old.
Customer service reps are clueless. If you wait for the model that is advertised as unlocked it will not work with Verizon, perhaps in theory it could but Verizon won't add the ESN number to their database if it wasn't sold as an unlocked phone, however if you want an unlocked phone that also works with verizon go down to the apple store or a verizon store on launch day and buy a verizon phone, the FCC requires all of them to be unlocked, so it will be.
