I purposely have been exploring it rather slowly over the past week and had little expectations of what it could really do. I'm pretty impressed with it, few notifications to really bother me, and the battery life has been plenty...so I miss it when it's time to go to bed and charge :(

I like controlling AirPlay music throughout the house and the activity tracking seems to be pretty good.

It seems the activity tracking is pretty on point, as is the heart rate monitoring at the gym and whatnot. Roomie confirms this as well.

The fact that my ADD for time and weather every 20 mins makes me leave my phone in my pocket more, which is just wonderful.

I don't like haptic anything, but I like it on my wrist...a lot

Haven't used ApplePay yet, so that's TBD, but I'm sure it's easy

I did, I notice I have a tan.. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432786026.246236.jpg

Nope I don't need it. But I love it, crossfit, notifications, running, quick replies and time! I love it.

Its funny how all these apple people think this things going to modify how their life works, like the iphone eventually did.
As a pebble long time user, I found out quickly, most of the smart watches function was to be able to see whats happening and ignore most of it. the :apple:watch at least lets you reply to the important ones (wife, mom, kids, ect..)

But its still an ignoring device..

I got my Sport on the launch date and I sold it last week because my SS arrived. I got rid of the old watch 4 hours before the new one came and I missed my watch so much. I was worried I was not able to meet my stand goal for the day. I know I am a 0.1% of the people who cannot live without a watch like this.

Kind of does change your life... Ignoring or not, my phone stays in my pocket for the most part. I've used a pebble too.... It changes your life to waste time..

I had mine off for near a full day while I demolished our old shed and built our new one.
I wouldn't say I couldn't do without it but the whole time I wasn't wearing it I felt somewhat disconnected. I missed not being able to check the time and see if I had messages or calls at the same time. Not to mention that it completely messed up my goals for that day. Funny how addictive that becomes.

I will only take it off when I shower or sleep. It does quite a lot for me to make me want it on my wrist. I suppose, if I take it off my wrist then for a few days I will have the habit of looking on my wrist to check the time, notifications, activity, and other stuff and after realizing the watch isn't there then I will have to go and find my iPhone and eventually I will forget about the Apple watch. Just like I would forget about the iPhone (or any other phone) after a while, if I did an experiment to live without it.

...two hours without it were too much for me. I have it on my wrist again...

Thanks for the update. I, probably like many here, have been anxiously waiting since you started this thread thinking "Will he keep it off? Will he put it back on?". Oh the torture!!

How did you realize it was time to put it back on? Did you break out in the cold sweats? Did you get the shakes? Perhaps the sensation of some ghost taps on your wrist finally sent you over the edge???

I just got back from a weeklong plane and road trip with the Apple Watch. I had fun doing screen shots of my Modular Watch face as I entered different locations. I saved snaps of the time, weather, and city names. These got saved along with the photos I took on my iPhone. It was a neat way to record my trip.

I love this idea. Thanks for sharing!

What are you talking about?

Your thread/posting history :D

For example that you canceled your watch order because of the waiting time and or lack of usability or sizing... and you will wait for Gen2 and so on... Forgotten already? Nevermind leaving already

No, of course I haven't forgotten. Being undecided about buying a new  Gadget isn't bad. I believe that Apple did make it hard for us this time, by creating a product that has no immediate reason to exist (for many people at least).

I have had my  Watch since last Wednesday and every day it passes, the less I think of it. That isn't necessarily bad, but I am still unsure if I want it in my life.
I decided to do an experiment. I will just take off my  Watch and see how I feel about it, if I miss it at all.

Has anybody tried to do the same?

I've worn a watch since I was 16 (now 57). The Watch is my new watch. It just does more and I like that. I'm going to wear it as much as I did my old watch. Pretty much everyday.

In addition, I really like the ease of switching bands. That was very clever of Apple. I really like the sport bands for general daily use.

Making me feel bad about my 500 calorie move goal

I'm addicted to trying to fill those rings too though! Challenge accepted! ;)

Haha! An hour lifting in the morning, followed by cardio for 40 minutes later in the day and my normal activity gets me to 900 so literally have been doing it straight. Have lost 6 pounds of fat so far and toning up. Feeling great!

I am glad that so many people are happy with their Apple Watch.
Many of you were right though. There is no point in struggling to find a reason to like it/keep it. I have come to the conclusion that I am not a watch guy. The last watch I wore was 15 years ago and after a week with the Apple Watch I started getting annoyed by simple things, that have nothing to do with Apple. I didn't like how the watch would not stay on my wrist as I wanted it too. It started slipping to the top, because it was a bit loose. Other times I found myself paying extra attention how I move my arm so that the watch doesn't get in the way, or how annoyed I felt when typing on my rMBP.
All these things have nothing to do with Apple. They have created a very nice gadget, but I am sending it back. It's just not for me.
I hope you all really enjoy it. It is definitely a nice product.

As an Inspector Gadget kid I plan to leave my watch on as much as possible. I'm mad that I'll need to take it off for 4 hours to charge. I am so happy I'll finally have a way to control iTunes on my computer when I'm walking around naked. I can't get underwear strong enough to hold my iPhone.

This my third day with my new watch and I most say I am very impressed with it so far.
Its everything I expected it would be. Went for a quick 28mi ride on my bike this morning.

And compared to my Garmin 500 HR, calories, AV MPH, distance etc. my AW was on par with it. Very impressed I must say. I think Apple is on to something here.

Find my self not wanting to take my watch off, I have showered with it for the second time now. Only because after my workouts I want to rinse off all that sweat. I spoke with my wife using my watch while she was driving from work a few nights ago.

And even though the speaker is not that loud I could hear her very well. And repleying notification on the fly is awesome. The only time I take it of is when going to bed. I never wear my other watches all day, like I do with the AW. I usually take them

of as soon as I get home, but this is not the case with my AW.
