In the past week, I, and four of my family and friends, have gotten the message: "Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes." Is something strange going on at Apple? Has this happened to anyone else?

It took me a week to get my account restored. It took my mom one quick phone call to get hers restored. The other three are pending review with Apple.

The only reason given on my account was that I had redeemee a $100 gift card, so I proved it was valid by sending them a photo of the card and the activation receipt. I was given a warning to not enter any fraudulent gift cards, even though I had only entered this one gift card in four months. It seems weird that one gift card would trigger an account closure. The Apple rep was very helpful, but could not give me any more info about what happened. I'm just relieved to get my account back.

For my family and friend's accounts, only one of them is connected to my account by way of family sharing a Premier One subscription. The other one's have no connection to me. I'm baffled as to what is going on here.
