Well spotted, the UK store has the full range of Macs now. Very much doubt these are all 'refurbs'..

Maybe this is also how they're trying to empty the channel?

I've noticed this before. They seem to come in fits and spurts without any rhyme or reason. I doubt that any real conclusions can be drawn here, except that there are some excellent deals on the site. If I were in the market for a 15-inch MBP, there's a 2008 model sans integrated battery for a decent discount.

It's from the armies of MR folk who are returning their MBPs every 13th day.

No wonder they aren't releasing new ones. Apple is making a killing of of old tech and restocking fees!

Maybe people buy them, then read this forum about all new mbp that should be out, running back to return :D

This has been discussed in the waiting-for-arrandale-thread over and over again... I wonder if people will ever realize that the number of notebooks in the refurb store has NOTHING to do with the time of the update...

Agreed. There was a ton of current generation ipod "refurbs" a few days ago. Even 64GB touches, which I've never seen before.

Seems like a good way to unload stock quietly - without upsetting recent purchasers or undermining the premium price point instore.

I've bought refurb 3 times (ipod, ATV, iMac). Apart from the plain packaging, I couldn't tell the difference from brand new (which I've also bought many times)

    Bargain time!

And how do you know? You've as much evidence of it NOT being anything to do with updates as anyone who claims that an update is imminent. In other words, nil.

That's fallacious argumentation. There is no correlation between Macs in the refurb store and the new release schedule. You're asking us to prove a negative, which is impossible.

    Month? Year? :D

For everyone (not you, as you know the drill), NO NEW MACBOOK PROs till JUNE! (No matter how many items refurbished store has, no matter what "Not to worry" means, no matter what rumors you get,...)
