In my experience, when there are this many updates, significant new hardware is not far behind. I even got another Office update today on the heels of iMac and MBP firmware, iWeb, Garageband, iPhoto, iLife, yadda yadda yadda

It seems as if there has been an awful lot of updating in the past week, and with history as my guide, I smell a major hardware upgrade coming.

What will it be?

The new MBP Slim?

An updated Mac Pro announced?

New MacBooks?

Place your bets.

I'm hoping they are in preparation for Leopard, just in time for Mac Expo 2007 in London on the 27th October. 😀

I hadn't really thought about Leopard. If I recall, these things usually happen a few days before whatever it is comes down from Cupertino, so my hunch is still that it is hardware prep, but of course Leopard prep is also a good thought.
