Hey everyone after over 3 months of owning my iPad Pro 11” 1TB model. I was really very happy with it! No issues at all. And just smooth sailing on a day to day basis. Although, after the latest update things went down hill fast. My perfectly smooth 3 month experience went from great to bad the exact second after I updated to iOS 12.3.. I regretted it instantly.. I started experiencing strange touch issues right after 12.3 turning on, touch issues that were annoying me constantly, and I could easily repeat them, and I could easily prevent them too..

I finally gave in, so I removed my screen protector from my never before touched display!

MUCH BETTER! These issues are finally gone!

I’ll just be cautious with it.

Also, I’ve owned (3) iPad Pro 11” models. These touch issues that I was experiencing seemed screen protector related. Although, 12.2 the update fixed it. And 12.3 brought them back instantly. I really do not understand Apple sometimes, or the devices.

There is a real chance that the “fix” you thought is not the fix for your problem, but rather side effects. For the screen protector thing, I get that the device screen needs protection, but my way is to apply a folio case to my device to protect it when not using it.

I have the issue and have never had a screen protector. It might not be related and your issue may come back.

I had the touch issues either way, it’s not screen protector related, I didn’t have the pencil attached and it wasn’t charging and I still had touch issues which was driving me bonkers and making me mad after spending close to £1500

It’s either a software bug that’s affecting all iPads or it’s hardware, everyone is hoping it’s software for obvious reasons!

Have you tried updating to iOS 12.3.1?

You might be looking at different issues. Screen projector problems are as old as the multitouch interfaces are. Glad to her that your third iPad is running ok by now.

I’ve dealt with touch screen problems on iPads without screen protectors. My current issues were that I could plug in my iPad and the problems would be gone. Or I could hold my finger on the cutout Face ID area and touch was perfect.

This screen protector was really thick, and developed a large bubble in the bottom bezel. I could press the bubble away and it would stay gone for a few minutes, and my touch screen problems would to.

No problems ever since I removed it last night.

Based on your description, it sounds like Apple’s screen cable for iPad is somewhat flexed and damaged, though iFixit tells otherwise. Sorry, I was a bit tied to the MacBook screen cable thing.
As others say, give it a few days before settling down to the final conclusion.

Do none of you guys not remember post12.2 iOS? The 2018 iPads were not compatible with a screen protector at all. So if you layed it on a rug, the screen would not respond to touch? But if you were touching the metal bezel or body anywhere by holding it the iPad would respond fine?

This is the problem I’ve been dealing with.

You guys are hilarious. Screen protector gone, problem resolved!

Some people said after the last iOS update, they were able to use screen protectors again. I had one left over from when I first tried, so I put it on to give it another try. Had the same issues as before, unfortunately.

This is just intended to help others. My issues are gone after removing this screen protector. It is so much better.

I have just updated from a iPad Pro 10.5 to a Pro 11. To me the difference is night and day. Don’t get me wrong the 10.5 is a great device, but I am enjoying the 11 more.

The extra half an inch makes more of a difference than in thought (insert rude pun here).

Having only had Touch ID up to this point I was really not sure if I liked the idea of Face ID. However, it’s blooming marvellous! Takes a while to get used to the gestures. I find that I am swiping here there and everywhere when I go back to using my iPhone 7 Plus.

USB-C is also amazing. I have even got an Ethernet - USB C adaptor plugged it in, no configuration, it automatically disables WiFi and I have a confirmed 1Gbps connection. Wow.
