So my 2011 27" imac screen started flickering

And after that, the screen will turn dim for a short while. I am not sure what the issue is. Some quick googling turns up a range of possible causes from loose led cables to the latest java patch to a faulty graphics card. It's not that often, but a tad disconcerting, plus I am worried it may be a harbinger of bigger problems to come.

Anyone has had a similar issue? I am not that all tech savvy, and best if I don't have to actually crack open my imac...😛

Try re-setting the SMC:

And the PRAM:

If these steps don't correct the issue, I'd take it to Apple, you could have a faulty GPU.
