15" MBP 2012, i7, yadda yadda. 10.9 DP 1.

Okay, so I'll try to squeeze all the details in:
* Pressing the Notification Center button does nothing.
* Using the trackpad gesture only opens it partly, like so: http://d.pr/i/I88b
The amount it "opens" is dependent on the speed I slide my fingers – it's like it only starts opening for the first frame.
* Killing the Notification Center process doesn't affect anything, seemingly.

Any ideas on how to tackle this? I'm fully aware it's a DP, and I don't expect miracles – but I've only seen this issue mentioned once in the forum (without a solution)

Final Mavericks 13A603 from Mac App Store: also have no notification centre. Can't get it with menu nor gesture.

Just one of several bugs I've come across already. Not impressed.

Now it works, after an unrelated log-out and log-in.
