Still in stock, available to ship... It is the worst iPad launch so far I have ever seen ..

I think it's a great product but it isn't going to drive as many "changers" as the iPad2 -> iPad3 upgrade. And so many of us want a retina Mini...

Queue at my Apple store was similar to when I was there for the 4S launch.

If it sells out and isn't available then they screwed up because they didn't make enough… if its available then they screwed up because nobody wants it?

A lot of people are holding out for the retina mini, but lets face it - the iPad just isn't the only option these days. All of the competition is cheaper, and many models are almost as good (some would say equally good). The iPad is still the best tablet IMO, but not everyone wants to drop over $500 for one when you can get a Kindle Fire or Galaxy Tab for half of that.

Exactly. God forbid Apple actually has a product stocked, it must mean no one wants it.

Same applies to iPhone as well, but iPhone 5 sold online in 3 minutes !

So a launch is only good if they don't have enough stock and it's sold out? Lol... Funny. "Still in stock" doesn't automatically mean nobody wants it. It could just mean they have more than plenty.

Don't count hardly any lines at retailer stores as no one wants it. People have to work and go to school before 8:00am.

Apple and suppliers are a lot more experienced shipping 9.7" Retina displays and the A7 is already far along. Hence they have a lot of stock ready.

The Retina mini is a new revision and hence the low yields. Limited stock.

iPad success can't be judged by people queuing up for weeks in advance.

Because they have stock it is the worst you have ever seen?
What makes it great? Having no stock and everyone up in arms?

And if that were the case and the OP couldn't get one? Worst launch he's ever seen...

Just another iPad, best yet, but most who want a tablet have one.

Nothing about the Air to cause mass 1st day demand like we seen years ago.

iPad demand has been flat for months now.

ipad 3 was just as easy to obtain on launch, and the public didn't even realize the 4 came out till it was out.

actually this morning at my local apple store there were far more customers in line then the day iPad 3 came out.

No, you see it has to sell at an exactly 1:1 demand/supply ratio for it to be a true success. That is, every unit is taken off the shelves, yet everyone managed to get one. They will get it right one of these years.

So what? Seriously, people who have responded are right. If there is stock it's the worst and if there is no stock it is the worst. These are times when I hope you don't actually run a business of any kind.

A MacRumors Demi-God troll? Go figure.

Who knew?! :D

They should have made just a couple of them imagine what kind of success it would have been

I have to agree that ordering was easy. I did not even wake up at 3am and waitied till later in the am and my order went right through via my 5S for delivery on 11-4 for ATT 128gb Grey. Tells me that they had plenty and many are still enjoying their iPad 4!

We all know that in 3 - 4 weeks Apple will be announcing record iPad sales as usual - pointless thread IMO.
