Well, considering the first day of Spring was only 2 days ago....um...I think it's a tad premature to say there's not going to be any Spring event. Having said that, I don't think previous rumors of an April 4th event will pan out. I mean why would Apple release a low cost iPad on March 21st and then hold another iPad event only two weeks later? Makes no sense.

So I think earlier rumors of iPad Pro delays until the 2Q may be true. Perhaps towards May? But I'm just guessing. Either that or at WWDC in June?

I'm one of those looking to upgrade my iPad mini 2. Was hoping for an iPad mini Pro finally....but looks like I'm back to waiting.

Mike Gartenberg (who worked for Phil Schiller) had this to say:
Minor updates like today’s usually happen when there’s a launch event that’s packed with too much new stuff. Watch out for those invites.

So, yes, it's possible we may still see an Apple event April 4.

First day of spring was 21 days ago. I go by the meteorological seasons.

I don't think we're going to see anything until September by this point, maybe a MacBook refresh in May/June.

It's all about that pre holiday season.

I think there is more coming later. New iPad Pros are still on the menu but probably delayed since the processor in them is rumored to be manufactured on a new 10 nm process. Will probably see a refreshed MacBook and iMac soon enough too, although those will likely just be press releases since they don't really warrant a Keynote...

I agree about the holiday season with new hardware. Although, if it's rumored all to be accurate, a new Apple Watch, a new iPad, New iPhone, and or a new Apple Pencil, that would be a lot of hardware to debut. I don't see Apple demoing all of that in one Keynote.

And then you have to factor in the debut/demo of iOS/macOS/watchOS.

I still think April would be a possibility for a keynote, but if it goes past April, I don't see having one at all.

And don't forget about those rumours of an updated Apple TV. It always feels like a lot to pack into the September event.

As much as I'd love an event, I can't imagine how it's 90% confirmed.

New iPad pros are unlikely in the near future. If they were imminent, the other changes to the range would be made at the same time; just not mentioned in the event.

Not completely true. Apple announced the App Store changes right before wwdc last year.
