I've been holding back buying the iWork programs with hopeful thinking that it'd be updated today or alongside Mountain Lion. But no news of any sort has surfaced, so is it safe to say that it will not be updated anytime soon and is a safe buy?
Thanks.

Firstly, I know nothing, have no connections, and am just another nudnik.

Having said that, I would not be surprised if new iWork apps were coming out soon. The last are named '09 and that's just dated by name if nothing else. I would expect new iWork apps to come in the near future.

How we define near future...well, that's something. It's never safe to say any Apple product without a revision in 3 years is a safe buy, but none of us outside the cone of silence know anything.

So, buy it if you want and don't mind if an update comes around the corner. Or hold out until a) an update comes out or b) you can't wait any longer.

Duff-Man says...Maybe you could have read just a couple of the countless threads about updated iWork apps, here's just a few of the recent ones:

and those are not all of them. A simple search of "iWork" would have given you plenty to go on, and it is one of the forum rules to search before creating yet another new thread, as often the question can be answered with a very simple search....oh yeah!
