I am in Verizon prepaid as well. I am upgrading to 12 for the new design, camera (especially night mode) and magsafe accessories

It’s smaller. 12 is 6.1 inch, XS Max is 6.5 inch.

I think the value proposition for the standard 12 is lost a bit this year. Still 64GB but the price went up $130. I get that it’s OLED and 5G now but damn that’s quite a price increase.

This question reminds me of 2018.

At that time, hardly anyone on this forum was talking about the XR. Later, reports indicated it was the best selling phone globally in 2019. I remember replying to some uniformed posters who thought a notch was impossible with LCD. Others thought no one would buy an LCD device.

Mainstream consumers who buy $799 phones with a 6.1" display aren't busy on this forum.
