iPhone 13 Pro Max So, now that it release day what did you actually choose?

The big brand that sells these styles is MSVII. Sadly, it looks like they haven't updated their Amazon store in a while.
Cool! The way I figure it, since I really want the mini to work…try it first. I think it will work. If not, easy return and pick up the 12 pro.

13 Pro 256GB. I think graphite, need to check, but didn’t pay much attention to the colour as I don’t really care (it’ll have a case on it from day 1 anyway).

Intended to order a 256GB 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue as I intended to go caseless, but the Apple Card issue scuttled those plans so I decided to just scrap my pre-order and wait to see all the phones in person and make my order then since it would be late October before it would get here.
However, my Dark Cherry braided solo loop arrived and it looks amazing on my SB SS Apple Watch so I decided I would get the Dark Cherry leather case and that meant Graphite or Gold as it does not look good in Sierra Blue or Silver per the renderings. Since I have a Gold 12 Pro Max, I decided on Graphite. So should see it in about four weeks.

I initially responded that I went with the pink 13. However, after seeing the insane deal for Verizon on the Pro, I had to cancel the 13 and go with the Pro version (I usually just buy at full retail - 10% military discount from Apple and sell prior phone on Swappa or trade in). As an annual upgrader, I hate financing phones even at 0% interest since it means I have to keep it for 2 years to see the deal through, but I figure I’ll just swap it over to my son next year and trade his in on my new one. Anyway - went with the 128gb silver. All of my new accessories for it and the iPad mini 6 I ordered are sitting in an Amazon locker waiting for me to pick up tomorrow 😃

I also upgrade every year, which is why I switched to the iPhone Upgrade Program when I went from the iPhone 8 Plus (which I had purchased) to the iPhone Xs Plus. So now I just effectively "lease" the phone for a monthly fee and every year I trade it in for the new model.
Some day I hope Apple adds the iPhone Upgrade Program into Apple One so I just pay a monthly fee for all their services plus the phone.

First I got the 13 Pro, then 13, then 13 Mini, then back to 13 Pro (mainly due to Pro-Motion, Battery & Screen size. At first I didn’t like the heavier weight but after awhile, it feels like a solid - powerful brick.
I preordered a 256GB 13 mini but changed on release day to a 512GB 13 Pro. Coming from a XS Max I’m really appreciating the smaller phone size.
Got the 13 Pro Max but will be sending it back for the midnight 13. I thought about the 13 Pro but realized over the years my usage and priorities changed. I used to need the best of the best every year and that’s just not the case anymore. The Promotion is nice but it’s not “must have” for me and I rarely used the telephoto lens on my 11 Pro. The normal 13 does everything I need it to do and is more than enough. Plus I’m one of the few ppl that actually prefers aluminum over stainless steel. I can also save a few hundred bucks so why not 🙂

Thing is, what I really wanted was something light and inexpensive that I could throw around without worrying. "It's a tool", etc etc etc. I'd rather use my phone less anyway, so an SE + dedicated camera was preferable to a pro max. I couldn't be happier with the choice, I got used to 4.7" easily and having a slim phone with a home button again feels great!

I have quality SLRs also, they are a bit hard for me to pack on my bike all the time. If I'm using my SLRs i'm using large telephoto lenses 90% of the time.
Also iPhone is for quick share/edit photos.
