Not really. I sympathise with the victims. The phone looks physically different than previous iterations and has a believable home screen.

Also many of the John/Jane Doe out there aren't tech savvy to know about incongruent specs or that the phone isn't out yet. Especially when they're looking at physical evidence right in front of them.

If you weren't well versed in tech you'd have easily fallen victim too.

That said, THIS is sad.

Nothing sad about that at all.... this is the majority of the population. It's a very small minority who is reading up on rumors and looking at tech blogs.... Most people will hear about the new iPhone on September 9th when Apple announces it.... One could say we are the sad ones here obsessing over rumors, leaks and mocks every day lol
