    It's a whole new architecture from Intel, so no.

    ho ho ho, if that's the case you wouldn't have to pray to Santa to get you a new macbook pro under the tree every couple years.

    So Sandy Bridge is out.......

    Has it actually been released in a laptop yet??

    I wonder were people dream this stuff up.

    Sandy bridge is not out yet. But will be out in Q4 2010... and we still have 2+ months of Q4.

    Anyway, im sure MacBook Pro's or w/e will get them next refresh in March/April ish timeframe.

    It isn't out yet!

    Expect early 2011 as the upgrade date...

    Intel started shipping to clients Monday. So it will be a bit before it shows up on machines. It's just a matter of time now.
