    Use dpkg instead:

    dpkg --remove cydia

Please note that this is not a Terminal problem. It's a using the wrong command problem.

Also be aware that removing and reinstalling Cydia will completely wipe out your database of installed packages. Doing this is generally a very bad idea.

    Here is the location:

    /usr/bin/apt-get

    Is it there?

If it is, try this from within the /usr/bin directory:

    ./apt-get remove cydia

Also, all of the apt commands (including apt-get) are not installed by default in cydia. You have to switch to Developer - No Filters, search for apt 0.7 and install all four of the packages that come up.

'course your having cydia problems, so you may have to install the debs manually from Saurik's website.
