First cut the playoffs in half. 16 teams is more then half the league, do they really need that many teams in the playoffs considering that more then half of them suck. It takes them 2 months just to get through it all plus the TV schedule is horrible. I don't care for the NBA but sometimes I will watch the playoffs. I don't think i even watched more then 5 minutes the whole time. And the games I did watch I was not even paying attention.

Second, the players have gotten to flashy and have forgotten about the game play.

I would:

1) allow challenges like in football. If your challenge fails, you give up a timeout.

2) blatant flopping should be a technical foul.

3) first round of playoffs should go back to 5/or cut the regular season down to 50-65 games.

....Bowen kneeing Nash in the crotch, sliding under to try and get a jumping player to possibly twist their ankle, Horry's cheap shot on Nash, Ginobli's ridiculous flopping that actually attracts calls-I can't view them as all those adjectives you used. Most players do use cheap shots to gain an advantage, but the Spurs are the most consistent and blatant in that as they are in winning.

It's a little known fact that the entire Spurs team is made up of Italians.

What is wrong with David Stern?

Did you approve of the way he held the Robert Horry situation this playoffs? He turns the blind eye/encourages the other thing I REALLY hate (preferential treatment of star players). Ugh, I don't know. Like everyone else here has mentioned instituting replay would be cool, switching the balls at the beginning of this season was a pretty huge deal, etc. etc... I guess I feel like he doesn't really listen to people?

I don't know. Look at the NFL, which I'm a much bigger fan of... They're not afraid to test and tweak. Or maybe I'm too critical of people.
