I actually couldnt find any confirmation in terms of the 70% improvement. I was trying to figure out whether it is truly a improvement ove the Series 2 processor or if they were comparing it to the Series 0. You know how apple likes to make the gains look larger than they are by comparing it to a couple generation old products.

I didn't either as I am debating a new series 3 SS, refurb stainless steel series 2.

It is... many places had pretty steep discounts on S0 models last year. This year it may be different since they probably won't price the S2 lower than the S1 since the S2 is a better watch. In any case, If either an S3 or S2 42mm aluminum goes below $300, I'll buy it. I think that's pretty reasonable as their were ~$50 discounts or greater and various stores on black friday.

Pretty possible that a S3 non-LTE might hit under 300, I doubt stores will have S2 stock though since it has been discontinued.

I managed to get one of the last S2 Black 42mm Nike Watches from the Apple Store in Millennia Orlando

Was wanting to pick up a Nike S3 (non cellular) but as they’re delayed I’d be back in the U.K. before they come out

Anyway, managed to get it for $329 and with the recent improvement in exchange rate all in it cost me just over £250 so very happy!!

I originally had one a few months back but returned it as £450 for the watch and a spare band was just not worth it but now I can have the one I wanted with an extra blue Nike band for under £300...feel that I’d they priced them at this anyway they’d sell way way more!!
