So there is a difference between the M1 MacBook Air and M1 MacBook Pro after all

I didn't know there was much difference between the M1 MacBook Air and M1 MacBook Pro besides the Touch Bar and fan.

Apparently though, the M1 MacBook Air does not support HDR output via DisplayPort. I wonder why.

It does. Apples information is/was wrong. Saw a thread somewhere else about, some time ago. If I recall correct a person had both mbp M1 and MBA M1 and verified both could do hdr on external display. Don't have time to look for it now, but think it was on Reddit.

Ok. Doesn't make sense. But i cannot test and are not likely to need it 🤷‍♂️

There always was a difference, but some muppet affiliated with this site decided that there wasn't, and 90%+ of you decided to run with it. Let's see...8 core versus 7 core GPU. ACTIVE COOLING (which, yes, people, the m1 does actually USE if you push your machines in any serious way, stop acting like they don't get hot), bigger battery....so yeah, there is a difference.

My guess is it was a no for the Intel Airs, and the superscript 3 should also be on the DP column.

I think you are right. If the ³ was placed in DP column it would all make sense
