Disclaimer: I work at FedEx.
We have one UPS driver in my area that's an ace. An old school professional who knows us, always makes his deliveries, never any drama. Just a smile and "Here's your package!"
Then there is a handful of substitute drivers. Their track record for even finding our house is under 50%. These scrubs drop our packages at neighbor houses regularly. And not the same neighbor. Not even the neighbor next door. Our house number is 17 and we have had packages delivered at #32, #41, and others. In one case a package requiring a signature was left on the doorstep of a house a quarter mile away with the residents away on vacation. The package sat outside, got rained on, and all UPS could tell us was, "Well, our system shows it was delivered." Geez, I thought FedEx had a patent on that particular move. š
