Picked up my base M1 MBA last night (it's great BTW). I went with Silver this go around. Wondering what you all went with? I feel Space Gray is always the most popular but let's see.

Space Gray for me! but kinda wanted to be a rebel and go Gold....will save a fun color for a future iPad!
I went Space Gray for my iPad and Graphite for the new iPhone. Can't really go wrong with any now, all the colors are great.

I went to silver after having two Space Grey MBP's. I'm just kinda sick of space grey, I'm really glad I got the silver but it's still super clean and shiny; we'll see once it starts to get a bit smudgy.

Went with Space Gray. I wish they changed the shade even just a bit just to differentiate it from the earlier 2020 Macs. I’d love it if it was yellower gold like the iPhone 12 series.

I ordered Space Gray although I wish it was a bit darker. I was torn and almost ordered gold but it's just too rose gold for me. In some lighting it looks more bronze (very cool) but in other lighting it looks straight up pink. Seems like Apple mixed the rose gold and gold colors from the 2016 12" MacBooks for this shade.

Since the Air is the "consumer" laptop, I could see more colors rolling out similar to the iPhone. Some bolder options could be cool.

Gold. Not that I wanted it, but the open box price at BB on that model (8/512) was too good to pass up, at the closest BB to my house, only 5 miles away. $1249 list, and $937 paid (less some reward $$ that I had) . Just sent the 2017 MBA trade to BB's vendor for a gift card. Apple only offered to recycle it.
Or as my wife said, we now can easily differentiate our laptops (she has silver 2019 MBA).

Who is BB's vendor?

Was debating Silver for a while, just for the sake of change, but I honestly couldn't part with my Space Gray, especially when seeing them side by side in the store. Space Gray does look a bit more modern in my eyes.

Now if it would only arrive soon, that would be nice! :)

I got SG since that was what was available through Costco first. But would have preferred to go back to Silver (my current MBP and iPad Pro are also SG). I decided I just like classic Silver better and I feel it shows fingerprints/grease less than the SG.

I'll be honest that I was initially going to go with the space gray; however, when I was at the store they had just sold out of space gray and still had silver still in stock, so I really didn't care that much and got the silver. In retrospect, I'm absolutely loving the silver color, and when I see the space gray color next to silver I'm very happy with the color I got.

I got a gold one this afternoon, 8/256. I reserved it online and hadn't seen it in person. I was ready for a change from silver. The color is a little darker than I'd expected. I think I'll get used to it. And, I like using this new Air so much that I am not at all sorry I got it. I have already cleaned up my old 2013 11.6 Air, erased the drive and reinstalled the OS, and otherwise have prepared it for sale.

Space Gray, but honestly I'm torn if I shouldn't cancel and order the Gold, it's kind of hard to tell how the color look in real life and I can't really go to an Apple Store these days.

If it was true Rose Gold like the MacBook from some years ago, I probably would have picked it. (I really wish there was a blue one like the iPad Air.)

I never liked silver, and I have a Space Grey MacBook Pro right now and it's fine. It's safe.

Hey, same setup as you with the 15" rMBP 16GB at home (used more as a desktop) and thinking of the Gold MBA M1 base (7C-8GB-256) as my work and travel laptop. How is it holding up so far and how would you compare it performance-wise with everyday tasks? Do you find the keyboard on the MBA with its tapered design being easier to type on than the rMBP at all?

I saw a gold M1 MacBook Air at Best Buy the other day and I it looked very pink in person. This may have also been due to the lighting.
