If you're on IUP the color is meaningless for 2 reasons:
1. You're going to put it in a case
2. You're going to trade it in year

I'm IUP.

While I do upgrade every year, I never use a case, never have, never will. I see, feel, touch, my device directly every hour of every day. Therefore, color is important to me.

That said, I'm a bit traditional when it comes to coloring: Graphite 512 for me.

As much I love Gold, I always get the newest color. Pacific Blue.

I use a case...

While at work, otherwise I use it naked.

I was sold on pacific blue when I saw it in person. The graphite was nice but wasn’t too appealing for me...........but I stopped by Best Buy and saw the gold. It’s gorgeous.

Earlier I mentioend that I'm getting the Graphite, but I also going be getting Two White... I was thinking of getting Blue than Graphite... but the color going get tiring after a while...

Man.... I’m torn with the decision of either gold or graphite. I’ve always had silver and this time for the 11 pro max, my first gold iPhone. But I saw the hands on videos of the pro max on another thread and really liked the graphite. In a well lit room, the graphite looks slick, otherwise it’s just dark. The gold seems to go with more cases, specifically colored cases. I was and may still be afraid that the dark iPhone will get old fast due to the lack of color. My brother got the graphite 12 pro and I took a look, it was dark, I was sort of a fan. I can’t hardly see the LIDAR sensor on graphite unlike the silver or gold.

so, I’m not sure and I have 8.5 hours to decide. So I’ve got some thinking to do. I want the 512gb model of which color I choose. I guess I’ll watch the videos again. I just don’t want to experience buyers remorse. I’ll have it in a case 90% of the time anyway...
I have a silver 12 pro on order, so maybe I should get the graphite... hmmmm.

I got dizzy just reading your post. If you get the pac blue more than likely people will know it’s the new phone. Graphite is neutral and no one will tell. after graphite lighter is better. Gold or silver

Yeah... I’m not too concerned with showing others that I’ve upgraded, no one will care anyway. I’m making this decision for me. I usually buy a lot of cases and swap them on and off my iPhone several times a day for a new look and feel. I’m really interested in the new camera, that 47% larger sensor! I’m a photographer so I’m excited. The camera is usually the most important feature of the iPhone for me. Color and functionality follow. I like taking my iPhone out of its case at home to admire it, then I put it back in. I’m too nervous to carry and use a $1400 iPhone without a case. I have four cases so far for the 12 pro Max, a leather pouch / sleeve is among those to carry the iPhone without a case. I guess I’ll go graphite, it looks nice. Bling is also nice, but this will be my first dark colored iPhone...if I don’t change my mind in the morning.

For me personally, the pacific blue is the most gorgeous colour I've seen on any phone. Would love that colour on a mini with the max camera.

No iPhones for me this year basically. Really hoping they do a mini Pro and in that pacific blue for next year.

Been black/slate black/space gray, iPhone X/Xs Max black or whatever, 11 Pro Max space gray.

And now Pacific Blue. Took until midnight on the dot to make the decision. Half of me already regrets it.

I like the silver/white combo just because cases are easier to match. I learned this lesson with my 11 in iPad. If you look at Apple case ads, they usually use lighter colors on the Apple Watch and iPad. They pair it with their colorful cases and watch band. Wish I made this discover before I bought the series 5. I would have bought silver instead of the dark titanium. I’ll rock a clear case for my 12 max and settle on a colored case later.

Ok!!! I successfully ordered my 12 pro Max gold iPhone with 512gb storage and $950 off in promotional discounts with At&T!!! I did my order over the phone and felt like I was the first in line to do so. I didn’t have to wait...yay! I took off on the 13th so I can wait for delivery. I’m excited

how did you get $950, if you don't mind sharing?

The promotions given were the trade in promotion with AT&T with a qualified iPhone, in this case the iPhone XR, that promotion is $800 off in bill credits each month spread over 30 months ($26.61) off bill. I was also given $150 in credits for buying a new device. I’ve been with At&T for a long time...

Thanks for sharing. Just FYI, the main promotion is only for $700 in credits when buying the Pro Max.
