Not really hot. Some video and browsing going on. 2.2Ghz baseline 15". I never hear the fans when I use it without an external monitor.

When using the Radeon dGPU and connected to an external display it can get hot, it usually hovers 68-72 celsius and the fans are on.

Got a 2018 MBP, 15" and so far not had any heating problems. I do quite a bit of video editing and photo work on it. Yes out gets a bit warm now and then but I always make sure the vents are clear - keep it on a hard, flat surface.
Mind you, it did "freeze" the other day, my wallpaper disappeared and I had to do a hard reset to resolve the issue???

Had some small stutters and freeze, but hey, also happens on iOS, Android and Windows from time to time. No perfect OS...yet ;)
