Do you have a Sunglasses Hut nearby? The classic Wayfarers may work. It's a very classic style (bout 50 years) and you either love it or hate it. Some of the colors are pretty crazy but they really stand out

Absoloutely love my Wayfarers, thought not too many people would be into them, but alas, I went for a 3 day music festival over here, and every second person was wearing 'em. Don't know whether to be pleasantly surprised or slightly annoyed.

Why are the Oakleys out of style now?

And why are the old man looking Ray-Ban Aviators and aviator rip offs so popular, they look like something my grandpa or dad would wear.

They're timeless - they were just on "Madmen" and "Hawaii Five-O".

The Randolph's are the real ones, though... ;)

(the Ray-Ban one I had lasted only 3 years, my Randolph's are about 10 years old).

Aviators have the potential to accent certain facial features. Mosley Tribes makes a few nice ones with color-changing lenses designed to be worn in and outside. I've never really liked Oaklies, but that's my personal opinion.

If you want some futuristic, check out the carbon fiber models from Ray Ban...futuristic, stylish, but not over the top.

Timeless, but who really wants to dress like their parents?

Oakleys were a fashion fad of the 90ties (outside of sports... and actually even there) when thin/ ellipse shaped/no corners glasses were all in fashion

in terms of actually design they simply are way too 'busy' for most heads/faces...

Lets not forget that Oakley's original purpose was ski googles. Then the baseball players started to take a liking to them because of the wrap around and good optics when tracking a baseball. Unless you are into sports or taking a hit to the eyes they really are pointless.

Aviators will never go out of style. They really are a timeless look.

Which icon looks best?

I think the white icon blends in and makes it look more streamlined.

Ya they all look like crap. Those are really some of the worst Oakleys I have seen.

What does the logo matter if the frames themselves look awful. People are not looking at the logo.

Those look like cheap plastic and that they could break easily. My one complaint I have always had with Oakley is that the lenses chip easily and that their frames are weak.
