Good point, this reminds me of when Apple first came out with the 4s and said Siri was exclusive to it because it had certain hardware to run it properly... then jailbreakers simply got it working for the 3Gs and 4 anyways

I was laughing so hard when Apple started intentionally blocking past phones, which could run Siri just fine, from accessing the Siri server and trying so hard to keep features away from past customers.
