so what's gonna be the "special feaure" of the iphone 7s?

5s - touch id
6s - 3d touch
7s - wireless charging? i mean this is cool and all but it won't affect anything but the way u charge your phone.. it won't really enhance anything that you do during the day.

is there anything else that could be released for the 7s?
 
Wireless charging is going to be popular but betting that people will be p/ssed because you will have to pay extra for the charging pad. As far as the device goes, I do not see a giant leap in technology but you never know till it is announced.

The 8 will be another story and just the new screen will be enough for Apple to have that "special" price to play.

I can't wait!:)

Less frame around the screen

More optical zoom options in rear camera
 
Hard to say but if the rumours of a 3rd iPhone (iPhone Edition? I truly doubt Apple would release phones named the 7s & 8 at the same time) are true I think all the new features will go to it (thin bezel OLED screen, wireless charging, embedded touch ID), with the 7s just being a speed bump from the 7, probably with a new colour option...

If you see it that way then you could say the same for TouchID, it doesn't change the way we use the phone, it's just really convenient.

Also, I don't believe in wireless charging for the 7s because it's rumored to have the same aluminum design Apple is using since the iPhone 6 and is incompatible with wireless charging. It will probably be exclusive to the rumored glass and metal design iPhone 8 released alongside.
 
I think very little.

Since we won't get oled or a redesign, at least a bump to 1080p would be nice. But do we get more battery then since I presume it uses more power?

I don't give a hoot about wireless charging.

Which would mean that there would be no reason for it to exist...is that a bad thing? I'm so frustrated with the 7 and 7+. For basic general usage, there is no motivation to upgrade from my 6+.

I upgraded from the 6S plus for the dual camera, dual speakers, water resistance and improved display. I've not been disappointed as it was worth the upgrade for me.

Better chip and camera. Faster charging and wireless. A new color. (Maybe all white)
If apple can only get enough oled panels to fulfill 60% of their usual iPhone orders they will need the 7s variant to be appealing.

You're lucky! I really want a new phone and it just doesn't do it for me...enjoy yours!
 
I have been wondering the same thing for a while. I feel that there will be no "special feature" for the 7s and 7s Plus all due to the higher-tier iPhone.

I bought two iPhone 6S Plus models, Jan then Aug and difference was night and day: battery, stability and smoothness. And iOS improved Ed but can't account for all improvements
 
With the goodies going to the iPhone edition, it will be interesting to see how Apple pitches the 7s.

I might be persuaded to buy the iPhone edition if the phone is no bigger than a ip7, but the price is a little daunting though.

If I don't buy it and look towards the 2018 iPhone instead, will we get the redesign by then (thru trickle-down)...ie. oled and other goodies.

So do you go with the bird in hand or the two in the bush? :)

I've been curious about this too. The rumours are that while the OLED iPhone will have a 5.8" screen, it'll be ~5.1" of useable space, since obviously some will be dedicated to the on-screen home button, etc. If that's the case, I think I'll go with the 7S+. I know it's not that big a difference (I used to have a GS5) but I still don't think I could go back down to a smaller screen. So, I'm wondering what improvements over the 7+ it'll have.
