It's "Blu-ray" because you can't trademark "Blue-ray" as they are common words (or something like that). It's similar to how Microsoft can't trademark the word "windows" but they can trademark "Microsoft Windows."They also miserably fail to put the words BLUE and RAY together without dropping a vowel (txt spk ftl) and require PLAYSTATION and SIXAXIS to be shouted when written.
