Most people didn’t “go for” one or the other. Anyone who ordered an AT&T phone from Apple or AT&T had no choice.

And what verdict are you hoping to get at? Because the only way to arrive at any kind of conclusion would be to have one of each to compare. You can probably count on one hand the number of people who can say that here.

Not to mention that any comparison besides testing both phones in the same place at the same time is anecdotal at best.

Kind of a pointless thread.

Getting better reception on the Intel modem on the x then I did on the 7+. That’s all that really matters. Why lose brain cells worrying about which chip is marginally better then the other one

Many people chose Qualcomm over Intel, and many others preferred Intel. I wanted to see how many people chose one over the other and why.

Kind of a pointless response you gave me. If you have nothing helpful to add then say nothing at all and move on.

Pretty sure there won't be any measurable difference by average users without an EMF lab.
In that respect all responses will be pointless, in which case it isn't the responses that are pointless but...

Yes I’m sure “many” people on AT&T called Apple and requested a Qualcomm modem iPhone. Can’t wait to hear from all of them.

I don't think anyone is worrying or losing braincells over this.

You do realize the modem maker is not buyer selectable for anyone on a GSM network.

So many people were going ******* because "one is faster over the other" or "one has better battery life over the other" so I was wondering if there really was a major difference.

No tests have come out over the new intel chip yet to know.

Went for the Intel one.

Qualcomm acting like a little child with Apple turned me off to them.

Which did you go for and why?

This is one of those threads....
even after "real" testing it would seem the one is maybe faster then the other, a X user would only see/feel any difference, when thy would buy two X's and always use side by side,
and will only cause iPhone X users with the so called " maybe" slower chip think their iPhone is not as good as, or slow.
and give the iPhone users with the so called "maybe" faster chip feel superior about themselves, having been chosen to receive the "faster" X

;)
