The iPad has been out for about five months now. With production not being an issue anymore, when will Apple put the refurbs out?

I hope it's in time for christmas. **crosses fingers**

Yes, I do know they will fly like hot cakes, and I also know I'll become rather fond with the f5 button.

They're already out. Check the refurb page on apple store site.

Thanks. I had no clue they had surfaced already.

$50 is not bad at all.

$50 may be a good deal for you if you live in an area with low or no sales tax. Otherwise, buying a new model from a reseller like MacConnection with no tax may be a better deal.

This. Tax ruins the refurb pricing where I live.

It'll be interesting to see whether that $ translates straight to £ like it often does with the purchase price...

I had thought about going the refurb route but everyones correct the taxes do kill it! Wonder if they will eventually offer education pricing on them? They had an article in my local paper about alot of school districts going to ipads for school board members, principals and assistant principals. Some of them even as going as far as purchasing them for special education classrooms. Personally I can see the use for the sped classrooms but make the administration buy their own!

Probably will be 10% in the UK as well (ex Vat). Think I'll go for a new one instead, after all I get a 12% discount elsewhere (retail)

I check every day and only see the wifi-only models. Was the 3G model ever up?

So far I've only seen refurbed WiFi only units.
