Is there a magnet on the iPad pro that holds the pencil (like on the surface)?

I tried the urban armor UAG case, that actually has a pencil holder, and didn't like it, so I went with the Smart Cover and case combo. I know that uses a magnet..but am not sure if it would work with the pencil as well..?

So it turns out the pencil will "stick" to the magnetic clasp of the Smart Cover. About as good as the pen stuck to the side of the MS Surface Pro 3, which is okay but not rock solid.

I'm going to see if adding a pen loop to the cover in that location will help.

Check out this thread. Supposedly it holds with the smart case.

I backed this project on Kickstarter, which is kinda cool.

I'd put it in my laptop case I use for the Pro or whatever one carries the Pro in I would assume. I don't think folks are just carrying the Pro around in hand.

I keep it on the table next to the iPad - it's weighted unevenly such that it won't roll away.

After that, I keep it in my bag but I have a iPad sleeve on the way with a pen loop to keep it

Stuck a cable tidy to my side table next to the sofa. Just have to reach down when I fancy a doodle.

Will be picking up my Apple Pencil today. I imagine I'll keep it in the same places I keep my current styluses, pens and pencils. Actually I have a cool leather case I keep one of my pens in. If the Apple Pencil fits I may utilize that.
