I received my 12 Pro on launch day and I just received my 12 Pro Max. I have until Tuesday of next week to return my 12 Pro if I decide I like my 12 Pro Max. That gives me roughly three days to decide if the bigger phone is worth keeping or not.

I'm wondering if anyone is else is in the same boat as me? If so, which way are you leaning? 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max?

I did. I returned my 12 Pro Max. I liked the size of the screen, but could not commit to the size and weight. Going back to the 12 Pro felt more natural and pleasant for me. I spent about a good couple of hours with it and at first I really enjoyed it. After an hour or so, the novelty of the big phone wore off quick and I found myself enjoying the size of the 12 Pro more. It was tough since I really wanted to like it too.

Good point(s). I'm giving myself a solid four days to decide. I have small hands so the Pro Max's size doesn't agree with my small hands. But my old eyes (I'm 52 years old) is really appreciating the larger screen. Plus I'm really diggin' the better battery life so far. My 12 Pro has good battery life but my Pro Max is definitely noticeable in that department.

Got pro max today, upgraded from XR with SE 2016 transition between them. Now boggled. 12 pro max is jewellery. Thing 12 pro might be perfect as camera is not different in real world 🧐

I’m returning my Max that I picked up today. I don’t know if it’s me or what but I’m disappointed in the screen. There doesn’t seem to be any pop with it. Looks a bit washed out. I’ve adjusted some of the display settings but the 12 Pro just looks better to me. Side note, neither of the 12 screens look as good, to me, as my X did. But I’m keeping the 12 Pro. The Max is a bit too unwieldy and I see no real advantage to me in the larger size. The Apple person at the store today said that the Max phones are the most frequent styles that come in for repair due to people dropping them. He also said the mini was outselling the Max 4-5 to 1.

I think Apple is going down the road of warm colors. Looks the same as my pro 12 but I love the size and the screen is so easy on the eyes.

Max. When after a couple weeks, I was still debating, I took that to mean that my brain wasn’t happy enough with the Pro.

Using the Max now and am returning it for the mini. I also have the 12 pro and that is hard to type with already for me

I had the regular Pro and decided to get the Pro Max (with intention of returning the regular Pro). Still deciding. I have small hands so the Max is quite an adjustment for me, although I love the screen size and all the benefits that come with that, but don’t like the weight.

Honestly, the regular Pro is great, but feels too a tad too small, and the Max feels a tad too large. Something in between those two sizes would be perfect for me, but you can’t have everything in life!

Ooof what happened here? You’re returning the max for the mini but the regular sized pro was already hard to type on? So then why are you getting the mini again?? Unless you meant you prefer one handed typing and the pros didn’t cut it for you. But then why would you even attempt the max?? 😆

After spending about a day with the 12 Pro Max I gotta say I’m on the fence coming from a X. I’ll have to try it for a few more days to get used to it and form a solid opinion. I like everything about the phone except the weight. Feels so much heavier. Will definitely consider a 12 Pro.

Didn’t buy both but I bought a Pro Max and I’m thinking about exchanging for a Pro. Kinda wishing I had bought both now, but I never do that. Hoping if I set up a true “exchange” through Apple that it’s prioritized over regular purchases... but not holding my breath.

So I originally had the 11 Pro Max and decided to buy and try out the 12 Pro while I Waited for the Max Pro to be released. The 12 Pro definitely gave the Max Pro a run for its money. I loved the portability and pocket-ability. But what it all came down to was battery life. I’m god willing taking a trip next year to Disney World and don’t want any problems, well out of the phone at-least. Lol.

So the longer I use the Pro Max the closer I get to changing my initial gut reaction to exchange for a Pro. Yes it is freaking gigantic, but the display is also gorgeous. And even though it takes some adjustment and I won’t personally be able to operate it one-handed (even with the one-handed keyboard), but I think that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make at this point. Still grateful for the Holiday return policy though...

Does the holiday return policy apply to iPhones? We have until Jan 8th?

In the same boat, I got both the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max on their respective launch days. I'm still undecided. I have until 11/19 to return the 12 Pro so I'm spending as much time with both to see which one I'll keep. I have small hands but love the big screen on the Max (hate the weight).

In the same boat. It is such a nice display to use, but even after usage just around my house, the phone has already left pinky pain in my left even when I’m not using it. Might do a 12 mini combo with an iPad while focusing most of my usage on my iPad

Well, I got the Pro and used it for a week and returned it since the battery life was a deal breaker for me. Not on my Pro Max and really enjoying it. Coming from 11 Pro Max, looking at the reviews, I thought the screen size would be a big deal in terms of accessibility. Honestly, I have not experienced any such issues and my experience remains the same. I am using it with a case and pop-socket, which was how I was using my 11 Pro Max.
