I see no point in being frugal. Saving up to have a nice headstone? No thanks. Being generous with money means you don't have that frugality-minded consciousness that will make sure you stay poor. Spend like hell and don't look back.

Myself, I don't kill myself with monthlies ... those little bills once per month that so many people convince themselves they need. I have my home phone, internet, and tv. My cell phone is pre pay and it really has disciplined me a lot on using one. The savings there alone are astounding. Pay my CC each week. Probably going to ditch satellite when it comes up for renewal, too much is available on the net (now if Apple would improve Apple TV to 1080p and I will have no excuse not to own one)

Considering my income I am amazed at what some people pay out versus what I do. I know people constantly harping about money but paying for all sorts of things each month. It can really wear you down. Throw in a lease for a mid 30k car; that you deserved because finally make more than one cost; and its not hard to see why so many have issues.

Now if I could only get over buying new cars every other year .... and motorcycles...
