Just wondering if there are many people who took advantage of this offer?
I looked up already and you can’t buy visa or MC or AE gift card with the Walmart gift card. But there are places that would buy the Walmart GC for little less and that money could go toward the down payment on your new phone. Are there any other options for the Walmart GC to be utilized better than shopping at Walmart?

Yup, got a Max and a Xr, $600 worth of gift cards. Just curious why you’re not wanting a Walmart gift card?

Ohhhh it’s not that I don’t want it. But if I can sell it for little less and put the money toward paying off the phone ahead of time (att next 24 months) and requesting unlock from ATT, then I can take it with me as unlock phone overboard etc.
that would also cut down the price on the iPhone, which would make it even better deal.

Gotcha, I thought maybe you had a personal dislike for Walmart or something. Lol, seriously I’m super pleased, walked out with my new Max and the Xr for my son with $600 in gift cards that will go towards Christmas presents. I like this deal over Verizon’s deals because I can pay off the phones early if I want. Verizon offers usually are applied over the 24 months and you forfeit the discount if you upgrade or pay off early.

That’s pretty awesome congrats good deal
Thank you. I liked that I could get 2 phones and 2 gift cards, that was cool. So far I’m liking the Max but I will say the Xr is really amazing too. At that price you can’t go wrong. If it only had the telephoto zoom I’d have gotten one for myself. I played with it a bit before hiding it. (Christmas present for my son) who’s using my old 7. But yeah it was a pretty good deal, I’m happy.

Did they actually have enough in stock or did they sell out immediately?
I went yesterday at 6 when the deal went active. Was 7th in line to reserve my phones. I tried to check out the inventory list and it looked like about 5 of each configuration of the Xs and Max. Several Xr phones too. I did hear lots of people talking about going for the 8 series for the $400 gift cards. Went back today to buy and activate the phones and they still had a few Xs/Xr in stock. I’m not sure what else they had but the guy said he was surprised they still had phones in stock.

some good deals coming on Cyber Monday
Keep your eyes open as they are limited in quantity

We got to our Walmart around 4:15pm on Thursday (sale started at 6pm) and were 41st in line for iPhones. When I got up to the counter, I asked for a silver Xs 256gb and they had ONE left. I know there were not enough phones for the people in line. iPhones were gone quick but they had a lot of Samsung available, even the next day. It was an experience but worth it for the $300 gift card since I was going to upgrade anyway.

Wow, I commend you for braving those crowds and going out in that craziness. I have to ask, how crazy was it?

I've never done the "Black Friday" thing before so it was an experience. We had actually stopped in around 1:30pm to scope it out and there were 3 people in line. But I wasn't gonna wait that long! It wasn't incredibly "crazy" except for the 2 ladies that tried to get in line behind us right before the sale started, in front of about 200 other people. They swore they had been in line and just left to walk around, until I asked them what # they had been given my the Walmart employee counting iPhone people and they had no clue. So needless to say, they realized they were caught and left. Then after a couple of hours of standing in line, Walmart decided to announce that they don't sell Sprint phones so there were a few extremely upset people who had been waiting in line and had Sprint. But other than that, it wasn't too bad. The Cowboys/Redskins game was on from 4:30 - 7:30 so my fiance brought the iPad and we watched in line. It definitely helped to pass the time! The worst part was not knowing how many of each model they had and knowing you might get up to the counter to find out they didn't have your phone.

I tried three different Walmart stores. 2 never had any of the iPhone X, Xr, XS, or XS max.
The third had just 2 of the iPhone X . Basically wasted half a day because Walmart used
the iPhone deals as bait and switch to get you in the door in a lot of locations. Won’t
waste my time or money at Walmart ever again.

that is messed up that different states and Walmarts had such a strange inventory... I have 3 Walmarts here, well 4. I only went to 2 of them... it was a total pain in butt but at the end I got what I wanted and $300 gift card which I am hoping to use for gas and simply put the $300 out of my bank account toward paying the phone earlier so I can unlock it.
