All iPads So who has pre-ordered already?

If there is a limited supply, it IS a race. IF they run out, we might be waiting until the 14th, or the 21st, or maybe even December. Pre-ordering eases my mind that I will get one in the first week, at the latest.

Of course, I don't feel like this about every product, but to me, iPads are special. It's the device I've been waiting twenty years for, ever since I first tried to read a book on a laptop, and wanted to take off the keyboard. I guess I'm still not over the excitement at finally getting what I wanted.

I've been able to get an iPad 3 and 4 on launch day in the afternoon. I've got a feeling the retina mini is going to be a pain to get for at least a few months.

Yep, witness the iPad Mini when it was released. I got it from BB mobile and was lucky as they got a small shipment a week later. Took much longer to be in stock at their big store near me.
