so who is getting a bumper?

I Got one because the first few days I am going to have my new iPhone, I will be on vacation, on the move allot, I don't want to chance it. Ill take any protection against damage.

$30 for a band of rubber is steep, but with an old apple store gift card its not as bad

No kidding. But people are going crazy over them. I'm undecided. First, I was definitely getting one, then I thought about it and decided against it, now I'm thinking of getting one again. It just amazes me that it's $30... for a band of rubber that only protects the sides of the phone. $9.99 is what they should cost, maximum.

I still haven't placed an order for an iPhone 4 yet so depending on what colour I get depends on which bumper I go for.

So far I have decided that if I get a Black Phone I will get either an Orange or White Bumper....

....but if I go for a White Phone then I'm thinking either Black or Orange, I feel some of the other colours would make the White iPhone look "Girly" but I really like the White one and since most people are going to have it in Black the White will be just that little bit more special!

Obviously Apple knows that most owners wont go very long without some kind of protection and so they are taking advantage of it. What sucks is most of the case manufactures don't have any dates on availability so nobody knows how long they will have to wait for a better option.

Are these bumpers hard or soft? (I know, that's what she said) It looks like the edges have some shine to them in the photos, which would be nice because it would be easily to get out of my pocket.

As a Flyers Fan, I ordered the orange bumper and the Black 32 Gig iPhone. I haven't ordered the doc yet because I didn't know if it fits on the dock with the Bumper on. Are you sure it fits with the bumper on?
