my homemade chocolate chip cookies are the best, because i can make them just as gooey as i want. i use loads of dark chocolate, and i bake them just until they can be considered "done"...i have to let them cool for about 15 minutes because if i try to scrape them off the cookie sheet before that, they collapse.

if i have to have store-bought cookies, i'm a sucker for those big iced sugar cookies you can get in the bakery at the grocery store. so good... 😛
 
My favorite homemade cookie is an oatmeal cookie with dried cherries that have been soaked in brandy (the cherries that is, not the entire cookie. Though now that I mention it...) I also like anginetti (Italian lemon drop cookies), sesame cookies, and biscotti with anise seed.

And girl scout cookies, for the win. Samoas own my soul.
 
I love making cookies. My favorites are chocolate chips with walnuts and shortbread, my husband's favorite if oatmeal raisin nut with butter scotch chips (as though I could really keep them in the house). He is a true cookie monster! 🙂

PS I also love baking pies. My favorite is blueberry with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream and a got cup of coffee. My husband's is mile high apple pie.
 
bringing a thread back from the dead, I know, but I just made some peanut butter cookies with chocolate swirl... I have yet to try a finished product but the dough honestly tasted like a reeces peanut butter cup, only better cause it was home made with real peanut butter and good chocolate...

I have high hopes for them 😀
