All of the board of directors at Apple. Maybe Walt Mossberg got one to start testing early.

No one has it except Steve Jobs. Not even iPad accessory makers have it. They just have mockups.

So, having had time to play with the new toy, what's your verdict? Better than you were expecting or nothing special? Is it worth us all rushing out to get one?

I find it highly unlikely no one besides Jobs has it, I'm sure he trust the board members and his VP's enough to give them one.

Outside Apple some journalists are bound to posses the ipad to be able to publish reviews in a timely matter.

I have a source that tells me that there are people within Microsoft that have them, as well as at least one consultant to them.

Sure. Because large companies always create new product categories and only build one to test before committing to building millions of them.

    They have working models already.

I can't say who though... They are under a "strict NDA".

I might have one. I can't tell you for sure until release day, thanks to that long contract they might have had me sign before giving me mine. I can you this: I no longer need a mock-up. ;)

    Sent from my iPad.

Indeed, this is very true, I have heard of people whom already had a demo unit to play with. Be it the media or developers or whomever - I can't really state. :).

What else can you expect from someone like Apple. Strict NDA anyone?
