can not pre oder for delivery - what does this mean - OUT?

Now unable to pre order for delivery - now says I can only wait in line at Apple store and maybe I will get a phone - since I am not pre paying - this means what? I do not have a guarantee on 24th. Gee I have been trying this most of day with this bull sh t - Steve Jobs I hope a better phone comes out quickly - so I can scew Apple asap! Anyone understand this bs reply as to only in store
 
me but i have 3 windows open in my opera browser and 3 open in my explorer browser. I hoping soon one will get through:D

Edit: Finally got through on opera. Just to let everyone one know I had much better luck with the opera browser.
 
I've been trying to pre-order from ATT Premier all day.

Now I'm getting this message when it gets to the point of checking eligibility:

Looks like I can't pre-order online from ATT anymore?
 
I was able to pre-order one a couple minutes ago. Free shipping on June 24 is still available. Bumpers will be shipped the same day as the phone. I have been trying to get through to order the second upgrade on my account, with no luck. I have been trying for 12 hours now. :(
 
I understand Apple is secretive and everything, I just wish someone from Apple or ATT would put something out to let us know what is going on and a possible timeframe for getting it fixed. Just be honest about it.

Make a reservation is the only option it's giving me.

I have a feeling that the "reservation" is BS. It didn't ask for a time or a name or anything. The funny thing, if it did actually work for me each time that it said "we'll see you at the store", I've now reserved three iPhones at the store for launch day that I won't be picking up, and three other people won't be getting theirs on launch day.

It should ask for your Apple ID. When I reserved it did.

From experience with the iPad, you can come in anytime of day on the 24th to claim your reservation. You find a store employee, input your Apple ID and password into one of their computers, and then they go to the back and get your device. Then you pay for it and leave. Simple.

I don't know where the issue is occurring.

Apple mentioned at the keynote that they didn't want to be system integrators forever. Maybe they should have spent a little more time integrating their systems with AT&T. Its called leased virtual infrastructure.

I'm just jealous that you got THROUGH three times in order to reserve three phones. I'd be happy getting through once.

I FINALLY!, FINALLY! was able to get my pre-order to go through after trying since stinkin' 5:30 in the stinkin' morning Pacific time! Good grief! What an ordeal! I was determined however that I was not going to order on AT&T. I just dont trust them to get it to me in time. I still had to have it shipped to my billing address, which is a pain, but at least I actually got it pre-ordered. I still find it incredible that they didn't anticipate the server load and prepare accordingly.

I keep getting this error:

Try about another 100 times and it will go through for you. ;)

Nope, didn't ask for my apple id.
 
Finally!!!

Just got thru to pre-order with ATT....rather the Apple Store...but guess ATT will be ok.....can you still go to Apple for service if you used ATT to get phone?:confused:
 
That sucks for you all, I really do feel you...I started a 3am CST because I could not get back to sleep, and finally gave up at 10 and went too ATT, and within 45 minutes was able to order 2. Good luck! Gotta love :apple:
 
10 hours in and i still havn't landed ONE Pre-Order. i really wish these greedy ass people would allow some time in between Pre-orders. I DON'T WANT TO PICK IT UP IN THE DAMN STORE!!!!

I've been up trying since zero hour (4am ET) and was only able to get mine ordered after 9 hours (1pm ET). Then I was able to get my sister's ordered for in-store pickup about 3 1/2 hours after that (4:30 pm ET). Granted, I wasn't trying as hard for my sister's as I was for mine, and as of right now, I've been up for over 36 hours.
 
i can log in, click on upgrade device, when i click on preorder iphone 4 now, i got nowhere! :(
 
Mine skipped from checking upgrade status to choose your store for pick up. Thing is i need it shipped because i can get to the store that day. And it never asked me for an email or any information just my phone number.

I doubt i really have a reservation at all. Or maybe the confirmation is locked in with the notification email i registered for :confused:
 
finally...

After 10 hours, I still couldn't get all the way through the process on the Apple site. AT&T wouldn't even let me start the pre-order, until just now. I was able to get the pre-order for the black 32G model, through the AT&T website, at about 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time.

This same message kept happening to me and, out of reaching for straws, I looked in the shopping cart and had 2 phones in it already (i don't know how that happened). So, I took out one of the phones and completed the purchase on the other and - VOILA - done.

I don't know if this will be the case for you or not, but you have nothing to lose by looking in the shopping cart.
