so who will be the first to slap this in their mbp?

    i assume it'll work since it's a 2.5" drive. probably will sound like an F-15 taking off. Seagate Savvio 15k

    Those drives are SAS only. They are meant for servers, not laptops.

    why would servers use 2.5" drives?

    yeah...i saw that they mentioned raid in the specs. i got all excited for nothing.;)

    Lower power draw is a big reason. When you have a huge server farm with hundreds or even thousands of HDDs, it adds up quick.

    There will never be a 15K RPM hard drive for laptops since the heat created would be extreme. If you want performance, invest in a good SSD drive.
