No case, but I do keep it in a soft Oakley sunglasses bag when in my pocket. Doubles as a screen cleaner, plus a tablecloth for when I put it on my desk.

I may buy Waterfield's suede jacket, but since it's open at the top, I'm afraid it might be too easy for grit to get inside and scratch the phone.

Haha. You set your beauty down on a little bitty table cloth? That's cute.

Seriously though, the phone definitely looks waaaaay better naked though. I am prone to talk with it against my shoulder when doing stuff with both hands though and the glass is so slick I know I will drop it like that. I got a speck case with a fabric back to provide texture. I often take it all off at night though - let it breath and shine the way it did when it was born.

I purchased a bumper (black) for mine, but took it off the first day...I found the rubbery grip to be an annoyance when I put it in my pocket, without the bumper it slides easily in and out of my pocket. With the bumper on, it catches on my clothing and it's hard to put it in and take it out of my pocket, plus it makes the phone bigger around the edges. Only time my signal strength decreases is when I do the "death grip" but I have never dropped a call, ever. No problem keeping my iPhone 4 naked!

This is my fourth iphone and I've never used a case because I hate the way it feels and looks. aside from a few very tiny scratches I've never had any cosmetic issues and have had no problem selling any of my previous iphones in excellent condition *knocks on wood*

That being said I will definitely be taking my free case I'll probably use it for those days when I go to concerts, bars, theme park, paintballing etc....

Naked. Got the bumper on a whim whilst at the Apple store about a week after getting the phone, bumper stayed on for all over 25 minutes lol

The phone looks WAY too nice to cover with anything. No point in having it pristine and hidden from view by fugly cases etc.

I've got the IS on front/back and don't notice it anymore, although this thread is tempting me to take it off. Have a white bumper coming, so we'll see how that goes, but hopefully it won't bother me too much. Honestly don't care all that much about how it looks with bumper on vs off...as long as it doesn't feel to awkward in my hand/pocket i'll keep it on.

Would go naked but the resale on these phones are amazing and makes it very easy to upgrade every 2 years...so want to protect from major scratches to keep that resale value up when it comes time to upgrade. otherwise would go naked all the time.

I was rocking it naked then bought a bumper then naked now I have cf tape "bumper":D

I drop calls here and there but it is not because of the antenna gate (I hold my phone differently) but because AT&T crappy network.

IP4 has been great

Waiting list 6-28, Got phone 7-9, skin on front and back, No other covering, use left hand and ear, 1 dropped call since 7-9, no issues, live in S.Ca. If you want to test your death grip go to north hollywood, around Burbank and Vineland, Death Grip will have no effect on strong signal, full 5 bars. Try it!

Im going naked now too with just a full body skin. Whats the point covering up the phone with plastic or rubber, a case would probley cause some sort of scratch anyway and you just loose the look of the phone. I think a full skin and maybe a pouch for traveling in a pocket or bag.
What do you all think ?
How well has your phone held up naked ?

Yup

Naked here, got a little divot in the front screen a week or so ago. Need a loupe to see it but -I- know it's there :^)

I used a bumper for a while but just didn't like the bulk; now I use the little Sena leather pouch and love it.

One eerie thing...the phone is so slick that if you place it on a surface that has even the slightest tilt, the phone will start to slide. Looks like a magic trick.

When i had my black iPhone 4, i had a black bumper case on it.

Since doing a DIY kit to swap it to white, i cant possibly put a case back on it. its just so nice without any cases at all.. no scratches at all either!

I've yet to find a case I consider myself satisfied with so I'm going naked. I'll rock my Case-Mate Hipster as well.

I'm going commando but I have a bumper on my phone... dumbest thread ever and now its three pages long.

I am just pissed that the bumper has left scratches on the stainless steel.

Apparently, the marks left by the bumper on many an iPhone 4 was or had become a known issue. After much reluctance I made my genius appt. And they replaced the phone. The tech did not confirm or deny that it's a known issue, but I didn't ask for a new phone, just some suggestions on how to clean up the s/s sides.

He immediately had a private conversation with his manger and came back to advise they would just replace the phone.

Thought i'd share for any others who had their bezel ruined NY the bumper.

OK, you got me, i'm rocking naked. Goodbye stupid Cygnett case! Although I have to say, this feels weird...

I also love the naked feel on the iPhone 4. Why cover up such a sexy device! :D

I use my Cygnett Slim case when at work and things though, and my sturdy Speck case if I go out to something like a concert or something else that might give it a scratch or bump...
