This is the first I'm reading that the AW is flaky with notifications. Not saying you are wrong but if this is true I'm surprised more forum members aren't complaining about this.
Check out apple's forums. I called in and they said they're aware of it

Also there's a bug where sending messages from the watch disrespects caller id

So if it's set to your phone number people get it from your iCloud account. Leading most to ask , who is this?

Definitely there are issues with notifications showing up consistently , timely, and correctly.

If offer to shoot a video but we'd be recording all day to get it on film. Heh. Check google. The suggestions when typing in Apple watch notifications are "don't work" and "stopped working"

Unfortunately apples techs are not trained in the Apple watch at all. The only answer for anything is unpair and repair

Reading reddit it looks like this may be an issue with two factor authentication. Possibly authenticating via two factor va off vs app specific password.

Most of my friends and family know me as the guy to ask if they have a question about an Apple device.

I don't go out of my way to recommend the watch but I'm happy to show people why I love it. The watch is such a polarizing device for many, that I'd rather someone wait until it improves than have them rush off, get one, get disappointed, then become another naysayer. So I try to give them as balanced a review as possible. My advice really comes down to how the individual I'm speaking to uses their phone now and whether the watch would compliment that use case or not. This varies widely.

Also if I'm talking to a mechanical watch fan, I'm much less likely to recommend getting the Apple Watch. It's too big a transition for that type of person at this time. Maybe Apple Watch 3.0 can pull them away but not 1.0.

I do believe the Apple Watch is going to be a big success, but like the iPad, it will take a little time to fully catch on.

This is eye opening for sure.

I wouldn't recommend it to the vast majority of people I know, but that's mainly because 1) they don't have an iPhone, 2) they're very careless.

For those with an iPhone, I would recommend it, it's a nice piece of technology. It got me more active physically, it does a very good job of waking me up with its taptic touch, which is saying a lot I guess, I'm a very heavy sleeper (I charge it then wear it before I go to sleep), the battery life is better than I expected, it usually goes like this charge at night, wear before I sleep, wake up with approx 80% left, by night it's about 20%, more or less depending on how often I check my watch during the day. (The better battery life is probably down to me disabling wrist raise detection, so the screen only turns on when I need to check.)

(38mm space grey with black sport band btw)

6 months from now the Applewatch will look better, Remember its a first edition of a new product category and needs time in the wild to see what functions etc are needed, Also the native Apps will help in inspiring developers to create faster and better.

Wow talk about passive. I have other watches but ever since I received my watch I haven't worn the others.

I'm of the opinion that apple hit it out of the park going with the smaller 42 mil size and making it look like a watch that you'd have to really squint to make out that "o, that's an apple watch".

I'm of the opinion that every other wearable is a joke (Fitbit, pebble, jawbone, etc) and I feel sorry that they're not wearing an apple watch instead. You just can not compare the product manufacturing with other wearables...

In fact I'm beginning to even compare them to citizen blue Angels and other ~$400 watches, the chronograph, timer, stopwatch, time zone functions are just easier on an apple watch. I don't need the manual or access to Internet to use all the functions of the watch.

Watch os 2 and access to the Apis and the sensors, that is what will bring in the masses

Have worn a watch all my life ... Up until 4.24.15 I wore a very good name watch ... Loved it then, love it now. bUT since 4.24.15 I have worn my ⌚️Every day but 4 when I traveled by plane and wasn't sure how it would be re I ever in the airport. Silly but that is how much I love my ⌚️. I would recommend it unequivocally. But, i do think it's easiest for the user who wears a watch and loves tech stuff.

Apple Watch is useless for majority of deaf people because it uses Siri so Apple must have forgot about deaf people out there or Tim Cook didn't see deaf people around him?

Not really, before I got the watch, I was worried that I might be missing out on some features without using Siri but I haven't found that to be the case.

I'm deaf and I'm not really missing out on anything, you still get practically all the features even without Siri.

Certain apps won't function without Siri though but they don't seem to be common, out of all apps I have on the watch, Amazon is the only one that doesn't function.

I see. Thank you very much. I will have to wait until Watch OS 2 comes out.
